A Cautionary Tale
Day 1 Infection
One week Martin's Wholesale, not their real name, a Nottinghamshire wholesaler, discovered that a Virus hit their systems on Thursday.
Day 2 Impact!
Their systems started to collapse, by Friday not much worked.
Day 3 Patch
Saturday their Antivirus supplier released a patch to deal with that particular virus.
Day 5 Chaos!
Monday their then current IT supplier arrived to try and put the system to rights and correctly diagnosed that it was a virus infection but couldn't localize or identify it
Day 6 - Containment & Removal
Summit IT Ltd was called in the following day, the virus was found, and removed from all affected machines and the by the following day the damaged caused by the Virus and the ineffectual, previous efforts to cleanse it from the systems had been repaired and the system brought back to life.
